Article Types

| Research Article | 8,000 | Original research with full methods and results. |
| Review | 10,000 | A critical summary of recent work in a field. |
| Short Communication | 3,000 | Brief, timely findings of particular interest. |
Preparing Your Manuscript
File format
Submit your manuscript as a Word (.docx) or LaTeX file. Figures should be at least 300 dpi.
Structure
Title, Abstract (max. 250 words), Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, References.
References
Use numbered references in order of citation. Include DOIs wherever available.
Ethics
Studies involving animals or human participants must include an ethics approval statement.

Open Access and Fees
All articles are published Open Access under a CC BY 4.0 licence. An Article Processing Charge (APC) of CHF 800 applies after acceptance. Waivers are available for authors from low- and middle-income countries.
